St Dunstan’s

It is the policy of St Dunstan's Church, to give a significant proportion of its income to charity each year. Around ten percent of income is donated each year to a variety of causes, local, national and overseas, and to charities having no direct link with the church as well as those that do.
The following charities will each receive £1000 this year:

• ROPE (Relief for Oppressed People Everywhere) www.rope.org.uk
• The Church Housing Trust (providing new beginnings for the homeless) www.churchhousingtrust.org.uk
• Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care www.irhh.org.uk
• Risborough Cares Charity
• Parents and Children Together (PACT) www.pactcharity.org
• Tearfund www.tearfund.org
A further £600 is also donated to the Children’s Christian Holiday Club ‘Lighthouse’.
Charitable Giving
Hody's Charity
This charity, of which the Rector and Churchwardens of St Dunstan's are Trustees, is in the gift of the parish and is established for the purpose of providing assistance towards the cost of further education. Grants are available for a maximum of three years and applicants must be under 21 years of age, at the time of their first application.
Application forms are available from the notice board in the church porch. Completed forms should be handed to one of the Churchwardens.
The Social Committee
The Social Committee meets once a month to plan social and fundraising events for St Dunstan's Church.
